I just spent 5 hours playing this. Castlevania is in an odd place where there hasn’t been a new game in ages but the franchise is very popular thanks to crossovers and the TV show. But this? THIS is basically a new game and the most fan service filled one imaginable!

Finished Ram V's Detective Comics run last night (issues #1062 - 1089). An ode to fictional characters embracing trauma, the emotional resonance within cities, and cape comics never really ending. Not the easiest Batman read, but one that actually says something worthwhile

Everytime I see a "this media becomed public domain so we turn it into horror", I think about how the idea itself is not bad... but sadly people will always choose the cheap option. Why I say so? Well, these two classic games are an example on how amazing can be if done right.
