After being told University of Canberra staff need to tighten their belts during bargaining, a $1.78 million remuneration package for the previous Vice Chancellor is shocking. More shocking still is the complete lack of transparency or accountability for it. Was it a payout? If so, why?

Eiko Fried Having started off in psych and now working mostly in education research, it's clear that psych is way ahead in terms of even admitting there are problems in the way science is done.

Rather than fix the errors in your form (which we could easily do), we are sending it back to you to fix. We’ll point out new errors when you resubmit.

You could see the way policy was creating huge housing risks under both govts 15-20 years ago, but young ppl at the time were painted as selfish and impatient (flatscreen tvs and avocado toast anyone?) I really feel for young people now who have it tougher again.

We have good news and bad news. Bad news! We have to make hard choices to close the gap on a $1 billion budget deficit. Good news! We’ve hired outside consultant firm Deloitte to teach us how to engage with campus stakeholders.

"Academic research comes with some important tests of rigour, including peer-review, independent ethics oversight, a global system of ranking journals to separate the robust from the "paper mills", and editorial review boards."

Finally, the paper makes a nice emphasis on elaboration which is should be a key focus for any school teaching and learning policy. Again, cognitive science emphasises focussing on the underlying meaning of concepts and the best ways of storing, retrieving and utilising that

Sorry, 198/260 public sector psychiatrists in NSW have tendered their resignation & it’s not all front page headline? Do people (& the government) understand what a catastrophe this is… if 76% of public cardiologists or surgeons quit, imagine the landscape? Solidarity to NSW šŸ’Ŗ
