Mental health conditions can affect anyone — no matter your job title or position in society. Grateful for leaders like John Fetterman, who’s leading by example prioritizing his own care, & Patrick J. Kennedy, who continues to help elevate the conversation. npr.org/2023/02/19/115…

"The composition of most research samples, which do not include many minoritized populations or those from low socioeconomic strata, means that autism research has quite limited knowledge of what works for whom and under what conditions." Important point made by the article!

There are some great resources on involving people who are excluded & seldom listened to in research. Taking responsibility for inclusion & diversity in our research & recognising systemic barriers to engagement are key. Some interesting examples: 1/2 researchinvolvement.biomedcentral.com/counter/pdf/10…

Incredible, clearly written resource at the intersection of #autism and #Medicaid policy. Families often don’t know about Medicaid services for autistic people. Some states even have waivers that don’t rely on income cutoffs. Medicaid can often cover psychology services too!
