It certainly does! All of the Newcastle City Council Movement Strategy objectives - Net Zero, healthy, sustainable, efficient - require a big shift away from private car travel in our city towards walking, cycling, and public transport. Time to be bold and improve lives and the economy!

More efforts are needed to help encourage Newcastle to be more Green. Recycling now should be as easy as riding a bike. What can Newcastle City Council do to action real change here. #netZero

Good coverage from the BBC on the burning issue that Newcastle Green Party have long been campaigning on: The dangers of our reliance on incinerators! See my question to council from last year: x.com/nickhartley/st… Time to rethink, Newcastle City Council?

I continue to support a someone experiencing mental health issues; they are already panicking about reduction to income as they move to universal credit. What is needed is support where as this job coach feels more like a push. & Where is help with training which should come 1st

Do they have any idea how *incredibly ill* you need to be to get inpatient mental healthcare in our country?! Try spending money on improving mental health care so fewer people lose the ability to work, rather than on creating extra burdens for those currently in acute care.

pretty much all community support is vanishing/gone. & new housing developments lack local services. in Byker, Wallsend, City Centre, groups of societies refugees are being forgotten, excluded & unsupported. & are noticeable to all, passing by. The Labour Party focusing on GDP.

The irony is that, here in Newcastle, we are surrounded by safe streets infrastructure installed in the 1970s, yet Newcastle City Council won't install any more because they are too afraid of it being "unpopular". Nobody's asking for the 1970s stuff to be removed, of course...

Just pondering when exactly the UK Labour Party stopped talking about equality and fairness in favour of misguided obsession with growth at any cost. Never forget 'ripping up red tape' is code for ripping up protection for people and planet. Redistribution more effective.
