Thanks to our local MP Claire Hanna for facilitating a virtual meeting this morning with representatives from the Department for Infrastructure to discuss the ongoing problem with traffic using Orpen as a rat run to avoid Finaghy Crossroads.

Just another example of hazards faced by OP residents and other pedestrians Cars parked so far up the kerb it forces pram and WC users out onto a busy road. This example is parked less than 50 yards from the entrance to the playpark.

BBC Newsline Good luck Belfast City Council and SustransNI, haven't the residents of Orpen Park Residents been trying for years to get through traffic removed, and failed to persuade Department for Infrastructure, even with support of councillors, MLAs etc.

Upper Lisburn Rd & Finaghy Rd South are noticeably quieter with schools off, but cars, vans & HGVs are still using Orpen as a rat run (some at speed) all to save a minute instead of waiting at the Crossroads.
