Responding to an assembly question by Taraprasad Bahinipati / ତାରାପ୍ରସାଦ ବାହିନୀପତି, the FoodOdisha says total 4.31 lakh deceased persons names have been deleted from #PDS in last 8 months as part of #ekyc drive and another 91280 ration card holders have been deleted for being ineligible in the state.
The Department of Food & Public Distribution has directed the state govts to complete #eKYC by 30th April and failing to which may result in subsidy hold and curtailment of foodgrain allocation to states.
In an assembly question by Sofia Firdous on possible cancellation of ration cards of whose names appear in incometax database, minister FoodOdisha responded that it will be decided on the basis of "Odisha Food security rules 2020"
