It was good to finally see the @metopera’s Aida, as I’ve only attended this at a score desk before and the production is about to be retired. That triumphal march sure is a spectacle.

Surprised but pleased to find myself at SF Symphony tonight because of Axel Feldheim. Loved hearing Beethoven‘s Piano Concerto No. 3 with soloist Bruce Liu and Maestro Rafael Payare.

Baffled by the plot of Die Frau Ohne Schatten, but very much enjoyed the Hockney production at @sfopera this afternoon and the orchestra.

Kaija Saariaho’s Adriana Mater makes a great case for live performance and SF Symphony sounded focused and consistent tonight playing this work. Soloists and chorus were also excellent.

Very curious to hear Gabriela Lena Frank’s El último sueño de Frida y Diego at San Francisco Opera tonight. First Spanish-language opera for this company and first commissioned female composer on the main stage.
