So true. My children pick up illnesses at school and then face pressure to go back before they are recovered. We don’t tend to have much household transmission. Never passed Covid to each other for example.

This recent report from the IPPR reveals that, in the workplace, the cost of working through illness FAR outweighs that of taking sick leave, mainly because it spreads the illness to others. I didn’t know my daughter was in pain all the time until a physio spotted she was hypermobile and I started researching what that meant. She never complained unless it was really bad because she thought it was normal to wake up aching or for it to hurt to catch balls.
