Notes From Spain 🇪🇸 I was anxious yesterday; today I just feel as though they’re able to walk away without a backward glance, leaving the tatters of a country behind them. I feel so sad they won’t have to answer for what they’ve done.

When the bar has been set so low for so long, it’s almost giddying to have credible, experienced, serious people in cabinet and to be spoken to with respect and understanding. Clearly, that’s the least we deserve. Right now it feels transformational.

I’ve been here since 2016. 8 years of Brexit, Covid, the 💩 gov’t ever and the traumatic loss of my dad💔 I’m feeling v emotional and quite overwhelmed. That speech was pitch perfect. And now a team of grown ups? Oh. My. God. The relief.

Arrived back in Spain and can’t tell you how happy I am about the far-right’s failure in France and the fact the UK has adults in charge again. Things are looking up for Europe 🙌
