This strike is not happening in a vacuum. Earlier this year, Student Workers of Columbia of Columbia University in New York – members of UAW 2710 – ended a 10-week strike by voting on a new contract that included significant concessions from the university.

The bill was pulled after already passing out of the Assembly & Senate twice (due to technicalities). The Senate needs to put it up for a vote this coming Monday, and we know our Senators will be on the right side of justice.
