Another section of sheet piling successfully installed and awaiting its tilting weir. This one shall separate two drainage catchments allowing for greater control of water levels when required during drier times or allow for an alternative route for water during wet periods.

One for the geologists amongst you….. we have a layer of peat about 15ft down topped with a layer of seashells and fine gritty material buried beneath a near continuous layer of blue clay to the surface. Who can tell us what’s happening?

Our annual flailing campaign of Boards maintained watercourses commences on the 1st August. Could we please remind all land owners of their obligation to allow free access. The more efficient we can be the sooner we can be done…..

Yesterday saw the start of our weedcutting season for 2025. Between now and the end of the year we will clear nearly 400 miles of essential drainage channels providing effective flood protection and clear route for water for both agricultural and environmental use.

It's been a busy few weeks installing new pumps at Poplars Pumping Station. This is the first of 6 pumping stations to be refurbished before April 26.

A rather disappointed side to the job. Clearing fly tipped rubbish from watercourses. This was one of two trailer fulls of waste removed from the same site between Parson Drove and Murrow last week.

Some pictures of our PSCA works with the Environment Agency at the River Nene downstream of Dog in a Doublet. The current dredging of the channel is being carried out whilst the dry silt from the previous cycle of dredging is levelled and formed into widening the flood defence bank.
