Itโ€™s not just that a large majority want Britain to rejoin the EU, itโ€™s the fact that the majority steadily continues to growโ€ฆ

Brexitโ€™s tragedy: we gambled on free trade just as the world turned protectionist; we dismissed European continental solidarity as the platform for our security just as events made it more important than ever; and we bet the farm on the Special Relationship just as Trump arrived.

New data shows #Brexit has lowered UK GDP by 6-8% over the past decade. Investment down 12-18%, employment down 3-4%. It's even worse than economists had predicted pre-referendum, because they thought there would be a bounce-back long term. "Economists were roughly right on the

Brits would decisively support rejoining the European Union if a new referendum were held, according to the latest polling from YouGov, with clear majorities emerging across all age groups โ€“ especially among younger voters thelondoneconomic.com/politics/britsโ€ฆ

I often see Brexiters stating FoM was of "no benefit to the have nots". Putting aside apparent justification is therefore to *level down* more of us into the 'have nots' it needs to be pointed out *EVERYBODY* benefitted from FoM, every time they went (FoM of goods/food) shopping.

Freedom of Movement wasnโ€™t a perk. It was an economic engine. It let Brits take jobs, build businesses, tour, trade, collaborate, and bring skills back home. We didnโ€™t โ€œtake back controlโ€. We shrank our opportunities. If you want mobility back, repost and say so. #SaveFOM

Brexit's removal of freedom of movement was an example of social, cultural and economic self-harm for the UK. It is long past time to renegotiate our relationship with the EU and bring back the opportunities it offered.

Leaving the EU was never going to be a smart move, even without Trump. It reduced UK influence in Europe and the world beyond, even in USofA. But the damage to trade & economy resulted mainly from separate decision to leave single market as well. That at least can be reversed.

Michael M. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ด๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง/๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡พ There is. Even from outside the EU (for now at least), GB could restore largely-frictionless trade with single market of 30 countries of Europe by rejoining EEA - which nobody voted to leave. No need for yrs of Art 49, no referendum, not even a commitment to โ‚ฌ. Can be done now.

Iain Martin Carl Bildt Julian Jessop As the saying goes. all models are wrong, BUT we are now debating the magnitude of the negative impact of the policy - there has certainly not been an economic upside. 10 years ago this day, David Cameron stood outside No.10 & announced referendum on European Union membership. It did not end well for either side, Remain or Leave. The disaster was easily predicted. Brexit, the greatest fraud in UK history. #BrexitFraudUK theguardian.com/politics/videoโ€ฆ
