New ChemRxiv preprint from Nikolaus Gorgas and Benedek Stadler. They show that a Fe–Al bimetallic can selectively activate C-H bonds of alkenes to form E-stereoisomers. A new mechanism, not seen with single-site metal complexes, is proposed. More details here: chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxi…
