Istanbul Greek Idiom #454: Because gossip is disgustingly orgiastic & out of control among Rums, the idiom has many words for it, including κουτσομπολιό/kutsombolió (also used in Central Gk) as well as λακιρντί/lakirdí (<Turkish lakırdı) & ντεντικοντού/dedikodú(<Turkish dedikodu)
