With our operational North Dartmoor Search & Rescue team supporting the Chagford Two Hills race up on the hills, the Supporters Group were hard at work back at the race base, raising funds for the amazing work carried out by North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team 24/7 365 Mountain Rescue Chagford Devon

A massive thank you to Okehampton United Charities for their grant to buy a new ceiling mounted projector for the Search & Rescue Centre. It’s in pretty much daily use now and is fantastic for briefings and training sessions. #Okehampton #dartmoor Mountain Rescue

Yesterday on the teams 50th birthday the team received a callout to assist South Western Ambulance Service, with the extraction of a 75yr old lady. She had slipped and hit her head at Shilley Pool; 10 members stretchered her to an ambulance at the nearest road. We wish her a speedy recovery

@ 09:13 North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team asked us to help find a high risk woman after searching throughout the night. @ 10:40 a Police helicopter saw her by Raybarrow Pool. She was stretchered to Shilstone Tor & handed over @ 14:10 for further care. 12 hours on the hill for some @MREW members. #Dartmoor

Team called @ 2150 last night to help find a missing walker in the Ryders Hill area, #Dartmoor.  We deployed teams from Combestone Tor, but stood down @ 0300 hours, mindful that we were supporting The Abbots Way walk today.  Delighted that the misper was found @ 0610 by North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team.
