ANU ordering student protest encampment to move on has resulted in the solidarity movement growing. Lots of people across the community have come together. New spot has more space to play, set up tents, to protest. Fabulous show of solidarity.

Following the ourANU decision to call police on student protestors yesterday, NTEU members, other unions, community, and students turned out to show our support. The ANU Gaza Solidarity Encampment continues - and now the conversation must be about ANU #disclosedivest. ✊

When money magazine reached out for a feature I sent them as many anticapitalist points as I could, and to their credit, they published them.

“Harvest votes”??? by which he means winning votes with your point of view as a political party. I personally wouldn’t decry democracy in its own house but to each his own

I think it’s cool that Greens and independents can present evidence-based policies complete with Parliamentary Budget Office costings and full detail, and have it disregarded completely, while Duttons back of a napkin radioactive scribble is taken completely seriously.

It should be a requirement that while in office, politicians can only use public schools and public hospitals, and must use public transport for a certain percentage of the time. If it’s good enough for your constituents…

I will never buy private health insurance. No one can EVER make me buy private health insurance. I will pay the ATO $1500 every financial year until I’m DEAD.

Labor MP Patrick Gorman MP says Greens “trying to turn international misery into domestic political opportunity” OK. Let’s say the Greens do see electoral boon for parties that want Aus to enact greater pressure on Israel to stop massacring Palestinians. Complete that thought.

Every day parliament sits, it starts with a prayer. To single out a Muslim woman senator as being 'guided by God' (when she also most likely said 'Inshallah') is nothing but a dog whistle.

It is not progressive to: - background against Payman with boogeyman leaks about her faith - make Palestinian recognition dependant on the genocidal state agreeing to it - ignoring your base (and platform) on Palestine - calling the Muslim MP a rat None of this is complicated

The fake Hamas beheaded 40 babies story got more coverage in Western mainstream media than the Lancet study that estimated the death toll in Gaza could exceed 186,000.
