64 Grade 2 students walked the stage as they graduated from our Reading College program last Friday. These students worked so hard to improve their reading and writing skills over the month of July, setting them up for future success. We are SO proud of them #RDPSD #RedDeer

Potentially unpopular opinion: if you can’t teach the whole curriculum without homework, your curriculum is the problem. Kids aren’t“quiet quitting” by expecting to only do work @ school. After 7-8 hrs of work, they should expect to protect their peace & find joy when they leave

I am a stutterer. I am very (maybe too 😆) comfortable with my voice right now. Many things have contributed to this peace - cold calling did not. In fact, a teacher lost just about all of the capital they’d earned with me when they did it. Months of work undone in 5 seconds.

With the new school year about to begin, let’s remember that not every student went on a family vacation, visited an amusement park, explored nature or met new friends at a sleepover camp in the woods. Some students summer highlights include having a roof over their head and
