I believe students are capable members of society! Currently in the second grade we have been talking about Change Makers across the world as well as what is happening in Ukraine. Leaders are decorating notecards to send in shoes to Ukrainian children. Way to go stars! Butler COE

This week in fifth grade we’ve been working on showing our thinking and reviewing our math facts with games like Top It! I love seeing these mathematicians shoot for the stars!!!

This whole week students have been preparing their Caine’s arcade games! Today was play day and I’m so proud of the work they did and the fun they made sure their players had!

What an incredible event the Clay Center Comets International Festival was last night! It Was both an honor and a privilege to learn a little bit more about my students cultures!

Dr. Catherine Hagerman Pangan is an invited speaker at the University of Oxford this week for the Oxford Education Research Symposium. The symposium hosts 36 scholars from around the world. Dr. Pangan is presenting her research around science teacher identity development.

Thank you to Mr. West’s class for consistent joy and learning all semester long! You’ve made Clay Center Comets a special place for me, and I am excited to start my next chapter here come January!
