Gg-Game day (first non-bilingual word/ letter day 😔). But so much learning happens when playing games. Turn taking, winning/loosing, counting, cause and effect, letters, questioning, gross and fine motor so much more! Thanks to all who sent in games lots of fun learning was had!

We extended our game day in the gym where we became game pieces and tried to move our team from end to end with the roll of a number cube and some hops in the hoops. Land in the same square as a friend they head for home and start again.

Hh- Hat day. Such fun hats today.

Ii- Icy treat day was a delicious blast!

Jj- Jamma day collected databased on their observations. Pyjamas with patterns, characters, solid colours or other.

Kk- kite day- students made kites to fly outside (sorry not many pictures from the outside time too much fun was being had!)

Ll- live day students came up with things they loved and today Mm-Make a book day we made heart shaped love books in French! Students also had the opportunity to make their own English books and comic strips.

Meet our newest cutest duckling! It surprised us in the incubator this morning after hatching sometime over the weekend! We were very excited to welcome it to our brood! St. Martin de Porres School

Nn- Number Day! (les numéraux). Dancing to 100 in both languages, and many number games today. We also “added” three new friends to our first hatched duckling from our extra incubator at my house (plus one more not pictured the kids don’t know about yet!)

More than halfway through our alphabet countdown Oo- outside today for all of our learning time. circles, centers snack and all, there’s nothing we can’t do outside. It was a beautiful and fun day with Mrt_chickadees St. Martin de Porres School

Rr-Rainbow day- lots of bright rainbow clothing, rainbow breathing and singing. We brought back our rainbow sensory bin and did some rainbow addition math. Not many photos but lots of fun was had! 🌈

Ss- Sand Day ( le sable). Students engaged in a variety of activities with sand today, outdoors in the morning before it got too hot and inside writing and drawing in coloured sand, sifting through sand for treasures and letters, and drawing and crafting with sand too!

We had some SK friends come visit to check out what Grade 1 Math is all about!

All our Year 2 kindergartens have had a chance to visit a grade one class this week to get a sneak peek of what learning will look like next year. Big thank you to all the teachers and grade one students for being so welcoming! We are excited to start in the fall! St. Martin de Porres School

Today was a great day for Vv-visiting play day!!! Ducklings had a blast at all the centers Thanks so much to the team who organized and all the volunteers who helped make it happen!

W is for Water Day! The Chickadees and Ducklings enjoyed water activities like water balloons, drip drip drop, sponge race tag, and there was even a water piñata! St. Martin de Porres School

Today for our alphabet countdown we eXchanged autographs with our friends! (Letter Xx- only two more days to go!)

We ended the year off with a Yy- year end clean and then we were set to Zz-ZOOM into summer. Have a safe and happy break Ducklings it’s been a joy to teach each and every one of you this year!
