We are very grateful to Michael Bibring for coming to Cardiff to speak to Year 9 pupils today. The testimony he gave about his father Harry’s life was moving and engaging. This was an unforgettable experience for our pupils as they move into Year 10 GCSE History. H.E.T.

Following the news earlier this evening of an incident at the Holocaust memorial, please be assured that we are all safe and well in the hotel. We have spoken to the students to reassure them. All planned activities will be going ahead, unless we are advised otherwise.

What an amazing and thought-provoking experience the pupils have had in Sachsenhausen concentration camp today. A moment of reflection to start off, with a beautiful prayer led by Mrs Barton on the bus. Martin Niemoller's cell offered the opportunity to reflect on his poem.

Year 9 had such a lovely experience at the Normandy War Cemetery today. We were all moved by what we saw; it made their subject knowledge come to life.
