This lunchtime our Community Chaplains created baskets for all girls' bathrooms in our College to ensure period products are avaliable at all times. This came with a message to take as many as needed for both in school and at home.

So super proud of our Community Chaplain sub group today. They spent their lunch time making these boxes for our school community. Just a small step to removing period poverty. Tomorrow we will be delivering them to bathrooms.What an amazing group of young people! @NewmanRC_Head

Delighted to have Fr Joel at our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors commissioning ceremony this lunch time. We are truly blessed to have our young people living out our mission and supporting follow students.

Just an update on how well our pupils in KS3 are engaging with homework. So far this half term 71% of pupils are fully engaging with homework. Keep it up guys and remember our homework club runs every day during lunch time in A6.

Our Charity Chaplains have chosen two appeals for Advent to support our local community. Erin has designed this wonderful poster on why we should help.

Year 7, 8 and 9 Advent Appeal are creating winter packs for Cornerstone, helping homeless people in Salford. Each form are looking for the following items to produce 30 packs.

Year 10 and Year 11 Advent Appeal are donating to the Oldham Foodbank, they are looking to create packs that include the following items with baby milk, rice, tins and long life milk.

This week we have launched our Advent Appeals across all form groups. It was so wonderful and humbling to see our young people bring in items this morning! Our family Newman Catholic College will definitely be spreading hope to people this Advent. Really proud of our young people ✝️💜
