#OnThisDay 1977: Thanks for the Memory - The Viewer's View asked people what they thought about television. This woman was likely approached for a snappy vox pop, but ended up delivering something closer to a dramatic monologue.

Are they really trying to boycott M&S because a retail worker did their job while being trans? Like could someone explain to me like im 5 what the issue is?

My hot take for the day: I have zero respect for Rotten Tomatoes scores. Nobody who looked at a piece of art and expressed their response as a percentage is of interest to me.

People said someone's nan was arrested at the protests the other day, but looking into it, she's a 68 year old woman but her kids aren't married and don't have children of their own. Sorry, I thought the internet comments loved Grandma Pedants. Did I mishear?

When The Labour Party accused Jeremy Corbyn and his party of "splitting the vote" if your argument is that people should have less choice so you win, democracy has lost hasn't it? Not voting Corbyn but wish my side had a decent argument instead of "other people are ruining our fun."

Huh… content about a demonstration that the government principally disagrees with and in order to see that content you have to hand all your personal info over to the government to let them know you wanted to see it? I’m sure there’s absolutely nothing going on there at all 👁️

I don’t know one woman who would tell you that having random groups of men who are private citizens aggressively patrolling the streets would make them feel safer.

It sums up our countries that the most popular alien heroes from the US & UK one is strong, knows what’s right & wrong & is as personable as can be. & the UK’s is a silly weirdo who mainly uses sarcasm and wit to win and will make clear how bad guns are at any opportunity.

I love Spotify adverts just don't tailor to what you're listening to. Had a 90minute car journey of Peppa Pig songs occasionally interrupted by true crime trailers and Alien: Earth and one trailer about "eyes bleeding" that could have been about anything. Keeps it fun for adults

Jared Leto is such a character. Exists in a state of perpetual semi-cancellation, Schrödinger's sex cult. Music for commercials, exclusively stars in blockbusters no one watches. Has one of those Oscar’s the academy feels guilty about. His whole life is a half remembered dream

Asked my driving instructor what a roundabout with a red cross on it meant. He said, it's one where you can only turn right.
