Our new paper challenges the standard E-I ratio hypothesis for autism. In 4 autism mouse models, E-I changes act to stabilize synaptic function, not increase excitability. E-I changes may be compensatory in autism. Press release at: tinyurl.com/yb4u4hbk via @ucberkeley
