This sets an alarming precedent. Monday evensongs are occasions of beauty and solace, illuminated by the excellence of SJV and the inimitable @salsachoirboy. The idea of a quiet night in chapel does not justify the removal of such an incredible choir. This should be reversed.

Although my junior choir was not officially on duty at church today, I was delighted to see one of them in the congregation this morning and another, with his parents - not previously churchgoers - at Evensong. THAT’s what happens when you get kids engaged with church music!
