Reflecting on an eventful and inspiring week for the Choir 🎵

It was a pleasure to welcome the esteemed Dr Barry Rose, who conducted two services, and The Choir of Clare College who joined us for a joint service of Evensong last week.

Tonight and tomorrow night, the incomparable Barry Rose OBE conducts Evensong.

It is a pleasure to welcome Dr Rose as we sing Moore, Sheppard, Palestrina, and 'The Short Service' by Robin Orr (Director of Music 1938 - 1951).

Herbert Howells (Acting Organist of St John's College, Cambridge 1941 - 1945) died on this day in 1983.

As we remember him, we're listening to one of his masterpieces, the St Paul's Service, which we recorded in 2022 for Magnificat 3.
