AWS announces UDP support for PrivateLink and for IPv6-enabled Network Load Balancers. I _do not_ want to know how much blood, sweat, and tears were spent to achieve this at AWS's scale. VPC remains a modern-day wonder. aws-news.com/article/0192e4…

Is now a good time to mention that we just crossed $7 _billion_ in AWS contracts negotiated at The Duckbill Group ? (working on a renewal? we'd love to help!)

Anecdotally, entry level content leads to much more growth of the audience, so the incentives are all there. Entry level content just captures more attention.

It's wierd that the Wordpress community keeps being surprised by Matt's actions/comments. Look at it this way: everything makes perfect sense if you just assume Matt believes he owns Wordpress outright.

Okay, Honeycomb.io System Status Updates just gave me a TON of confidence in a refactor I'm about to take on. I want to rewrite a function from NoSQL to Postgres, but I wasn't sure which execution paths used it. Honeycomb's `root_name` group gave me 100% certainty it's only one endpoint in production.

My friends at The Duckbill Group are doing their annual charity t-shirt drive. This year it's about being force-fed AI. Proceeds go to 826 National ✍🏾✏️✨. I've put together a commercial for it. Buy the t-shirt! 💪 store.lastweekinaws.com

Helping kids become better writers is close to my heart and now, thanks to Corey Quinn’s fundraiser for 826 National ✍🏾✏️✨, so is this ridiculous shirt. You can wear one too when you support the good cause at store.lastweekinaws.com

This sounds really good, but it also feels deceptive. If you read it carefully, it's a "94% improvement since Jan 2023". For context, in May 2023, they announced ~80% end-to-end latency improvement. So this is an incremental improvement on top of that. aws.amazon.com/about-aws/what…
