I'm hearing about #medicare urgent care centres that were closed today despite getting $1Million/year payments to be open 365 (almost $3K per day). Meanwhile actually GP practices get joke-level incentives from PHNs to open after-hours, that don't even include Saturday mornings.

Why Anthony Albanese's math on GPs is BS: To 'earn' $400k per year (pre-tax), you have to bill $580k. At the proposed $72; that's 8055 consults/year; or 170 per week for 48 weeks. At 15mins each that's 8.5 hours per day PLUS a likely 1.5 hours admin time = 10 hour days with no breaks.
