Is it weird I never wanted a Capital One credit card because of their horrid, swooshy logo? Yes, maybe that's weird. Still, what a mess. 140K SS numbers, 80K bank account numbers, and “personal information” from card applications. Seems crap design ain't the only problem anymore.

These attacks on craft, on building tangible portfolios of achievement, will kill design quicker than you can say decentering. My experience? Those who champion “systems!” over “artifacts” were not good at making artifacts in the first place. But we now need excellence in both.

They better have lots of camera crews at the #NBABubble because that’s going to be great documentary material in a couple years. I’ve already got the #30for30 title. “When the crowd went silent.” #WholeNewGame

I’ve never like the idea of showing options. Just seems like a pretty expensive guessing game giving the client or stakeholder the illusion of value. I prefer to present solutions based on discovery and listening.… instagram.com/p/CD7TtOvlEcU/…

I had never heard of a young Jewish designer named Peretz Rosenbaum until today, and that’s because early in his career he decided to create a more “Madison Avenue-friendly” identity for himself. “Four letters here, four letters there, would create a nice symbol.” Paul Rand
