Lately I've been struggling a lot with the feeling called LOVE. I don't think I can honestly say that I feel loved, even though I have a wife and family who say they love me. Or that I love anyone, like the concept is lost on me. It feels awful now that I'm aware of this...

Male suicide rates are so high. It breaks my heart that men feel they can’t open up because of stigma. MENS MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS. Men, open up. It’ll be okay.

Growing up with undiagnosed ADHD I became an expert at hiding my struggles and learning ways of 'making it on my own'. When I was diagnosed at 32 it took me 18 months of depression before I finally asked for help. I learned a valuable lesson: It's OK to ask for help!

#takeyourpills on Netflix could have been an insightful documentary about the abuse of ADHD medication in college and the workplace. Instead, it was an attack on the medication itself and the people who take it. Zero peer reviewed research. Misinformed ignorance.

.@Netflix please take down the poorly researched documentary #TakeYourPills. #ITakeMyPillsBecause they help my brain focus, just like my glasses help my eyes focus. There's no shame in medically treating a medical condition and perpetuating stigmas like this hurts people w/ #ADHD

Alison Klayman TakeYourPills Netflix Promoting this as some feminist accomplishment while discrediting the real suffering of the thousands of women who legitimately struggle with #ADHD is really distasteful. How does it feel to add to the stigma so many people have to overcome every day ?

As a feminist with #ADHD, I’m heartbroken that TakeYourPills, a film made by women, has done so much to further stigmatise my condition. #ITakeMyPillsBecause I need them to balance my neurotransmitters, so I can manage the day without overwhelm, not for competitive advantage. x.com/faryl/status/9…

#ITakeMyPillsBecause any medication comes with risks and potential side effects, but so does not treating my #ADHD. For me, the benefit far outweighs the risk.

I have lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament, calling out Netflix 's imbalanced TakeYourPills doc. We need better understanding of ADHD & role of medication in its treatment. I hope this means less stigma when people explain #ITakeMyPillsBecause parliament.scot/parliamentaryb…

Brains, keep it up! People are listening :) #ITakeMyPillsBecause I no longer allow people who don’t understand my ADHD, my individual brain or the research-based benefits and risks of the available treatments, to influence my decision. My brain deserves better. #MyBrainMyChoice x.com/amahlaka/statu…

#ITakeMyPillsBecause I spent 29 years blaming myself for careless mistakes, losing jobs, accidents, clutter, & not being able to focus on a conversation with people I care about. I have a difficult time staying on task at a desk & getting up in the morning. Meds are a life raft.

For the record: "Stimulant medications are not considered habit-forming in the doses used to treat ADHD, and there is no evidence that their use leads to substance abuse." childmind.org/article/know-l… #endthestigma #ITakeMyPillsBecause #TakeYourPills Netflix

Jessica McCabe & I agree: "Take Your Pills"Netflix documentary could have/should have focused on #ADHD medication facts. Instead, it furthered the fear & suspicion surrounding meds. A trained #ADHD professional will NOT ALLOW you to remain on something harmful - nor should YOU! x.com/HowtoADHD/stat…
