After a year of being out of training I would say the best thing is to have a stable of people you can ask opinions on to their approach to a case. That even includes people outside your specialty sometimes.

Got a call overnight for a patient and as the doc was telling me about the case they said I have never talked to you before but I wanted to let you know how appreciative we are for you and your group cause you guys do such a good job and always help our patients. 🥲
