Evelyn Schlitz places 6th and Kat Creasman 7th in the 6A State 1600! Evelyn ran 5:00 and Kat 5:01, both under the previous school record of 5:05! In the boys 6A State 1600, Holden Cammarata places 5th in a PR of 4:18! That’s the new #4 time in school history! Go Hawks!

Last night Holden Cammarata finished his Mill Creek running career on an incredible high, finishing 5th in the State 1600 with 4:18 PR. He is one of best runners in Mill Creek XC/Distance Track history and an even better person. Thank you for all you’ve done for the team, Holden!

Evelyn Schlitz places 5th in the 6A State 3200! She runs a time of 10:56 which is a new SCHOOL RECORD! What a senior State Meet for Evelyn-two races, two podium spots, and 2 school records! Congratulations, Evelyn!

She owns the Cross Country 5k school record, the 1600 and 3200 school records, and was a member of the school record 4x800 relay team. Thank you, Evelyn Schlitz, for all that you have done for the team! Your impact on the team as a runner and person will never be forgotten!

Congratulations to Evelyn Schlitz, Holden Cammarata, and Kat Creasman, for being honored at the All County Track Awards Ceremony tonight!

Coach Hodges is retiring from Track and Field coaching, and he’s going out as a Hall of Famer, Coach of the Year, and County Champion. Coach Hodges has done so much for Mill Creek Track and Field since the school opened in 2004 and he will be sorely missed. Thank you, Coach!

Evelyn Schlitz and Holden Cammarata both raced the mile at the Atlanta Track Club Meet of Champions tonight! Evelyn placed 4th in 5:01.01, which coverts to 4:59.26 for 1600, lowering her SCHOOL RECORD another second and joining the sub 5 club! Holden placed 12th in 4:23.72.

Evelyn Schlitz is now #6 in Gwinnett County history in the 1600 and Kat Creasman is #9. Evelyn is also #9 in Gwinnett history in the 3200. Congratulations, girls!

Evelyn Schlitz finishes up her high school career by placing 11th (after being seeded 17th) in heat 2 of the girls 3200 at Running Lane in 10:58! It’s her second time under 11 and a second time under the previous school record. Great job and great season, Evelyn!
