The Doomguy/Slayer also isn't a character. He's a psychotic rage monster who just wants to kill all the demons. Admirable enough, but the only interesting thing about him was an implication they have seemingly dropped that his murder spree was revenge for his bunny Daisy.

While I don’t totally hate this since I’ve done similar things in the past (my hypocrisy only goes so far) I do find myself increasingly annoyed by players who can’t be arsed to erase a tick on the box. The humble arrow is swiftly becoming a filtering criteria.

Easy! Players actually don’t know what they want until they get it. The words up to that point are decoration only.

I love players, I need players to play the game, but their ability to figure game-related hypotheticals is hamstrung if they never run a session. They know if something is fun AS it’s happening, but their wants in theory have a way of evaporating against their wants in practice.
