Today Boris Johnson blamed haulage industry for failing to invest in infrastructure such as truckstops & parking. We don't ask rail operators to build stations or motorists car parks, these things should be provided for by Govt. #BuildBackBetter build truckstops.

With drivers being such a hot topic right now we are getting loads of press releases and content offers from PR agencies. One, on driver mental health tips today basically said "always get a good night sleep" You don't say? Replied: take it you've never been in a lorry 🙄

Another one recommended vehicles be "checked over regularly", had to explain to them what an O Licence was, defect reports and six weekly checks. Anyway the point is, the lack of knowledge and understanding of transport in general is just absolutely brutal.

The Government are going to have to help with truck parking. Truckstops are enormously expensive to establish if you can get one built at all. They're essential not a "luxury". Plus it would be so, so easy just to tell Amazon etc to bolt one to their superhubs or no build
