I was just informed that my small project to join @Borchardt_Group for three months in 2023 was approved. This is perfect news!!! The project is supported by Slovenská akadémia vied and Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice in the form of Visiting fellowship and makes it mandatory for me to apply for ERC grant.

It was a great pleasure to have a talk in the renowned Bolm group at RWTH Aachen in the presence of prof. Wiegand and his group @WiegandLab in Aachen yesterday and also toto listen to a great talk by prof. Weidenthaler from Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung Max Planck Society.

Last week my three-month stay within the framework of SAS-UPJS European Research Council (ERC) ERC Visiting Fellowship in to @Borchardt_Group at Ruhr-Universität Bochum on MSRs came to an end. A big thank you to the members of the group and also to SAV and Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice for this great opportunity.

Yesterday my dream came true. I was awarded the ESET Science Award 2023 prize in the category “Outstanding scientist in Slovakia under the age of 35” from the international jury led by the Nobel prize laureate. ESET SAV Mechanochemistry

Yesterday I managed to defend my thesis „@mechanochem as a tool for nanocrystalline materials synthesis and waste recycling“, by which I am obliged to use Doctor of Science (DrSc./DSc. instead of PhD.) degree, being the scientific equivalent to university professor.

Excellent news for our Mechanochemistry research! We now have a mixer mill MM500 nano from Retsch. This is the first new milling device we got since the start of my mechanochemical career in 2011. Time for comparing the results with those obtained via planetary milling!
