Do you know one of 1000s veterans, struggling with sight loss? We could help them today. If you, or someone you know, served in the Armed Forces, including National Service, then get in touch or help us reach more veterans by sharing this post.

Join us in taking two minutes to remember the fallen. We also honour the service of the #blind #veterans we support today. 'Blinded in combat' showcases nine of our veterans who lost their sight in the line of duty. Read their stories: ow.ly/hAKo50LA40F #RemembranceDay

It was in Afghanistan when an improvised explosive device blast stole Ken's sight. He lost a lot of good men in his battalion and "will be so proud to be there" on #Remembrance Sunday with fellow #blind #veterans to pay his respects. Read more about Ken: ow.ly/aWW250Lz0vg

We are pleased to hear the Chancellor Sir Jeremy Hunt MP has recommitted to raising benefits by 10.1% in line with inflation, following sustained pressure from campaigners and MPs. This news will bring relief to blind and partially sighted people across the UK: rnib.in/CoLNov

The Chancellor also announced that there will be new #CostOfLiving payments next year. For those on disability benefits, but not on means-tested benefits, the £150 payment announced will amount to just £2.88 extra per week. This simply will not go far enough
