Fire Prevention Week starts today! This week the OAFC will be sharing fire prevention tips and reminders. On Friday, we will announce our test your smoke alarm contest winners. #firepreventionweek2024

Ontario's #fireservice thanked the heroes who lost their lives in the line of duty. We lost many a brave soul this year, as 73 names were added to this wall. To the families of our fallen heroes, please know they will never be forgotten.

Thank you to all the students in ⁦Town of Ajax⁩ that entered our Fire Chief for the Day contest. We received 629 poster ballots. They are fantastic! We have picked a winner and will contact the school today!

I stopped by Ajax Fire and Emergency Services today to talk about the action we’re taking to protect firefighters from the risks they face on the job that lead to higher rates of cancer. (1/2)

🧵1/4 Last month #AjaxFire donated emergency gear to local volunteer fire services in Santa Cruz, Bolivia including bunker gear, radio equip., rescue rope & 2 wheelchairs The gear can no longer be used by emergency services in Canada due to being at the end of their service life

2/3 DC Kimbell, Elite Emergency Rescue Canada & Rotary Club of Pickering visited emergency operation centres & met fire officials, medical, police & Airforce. DC Kimbell took part in a coordinated water drop operation to help fire crews prevent fires from reaching the village

Congratulations to #AjaxFire FF Trevor Russell on achieving the title Snap-tite Hose Division 2 under 40 individual Male WORLD CHAMPION at the Firefighter Challenge Championship Series. FF Russell won 1st place with a time of 1:34.28. Trevor is the newest member of the LION’S DEN
