Today’s first #SCIPosterComp highlight poster is from Marcus Grocott from the @rorgroup at Chem Birmingham Marcus examined the effect of salt on aqueous ring-opening metathesis polymerisation – check out the full research poster here: istry.co.uk/pstr/33

After a year in the making, I'm super excited to share our effort O'Reilly group to collect everything you need to know about ROMP-based self-assembled nanostructures into our latest review article #ProgPolymSci!! Also very proud about the ToC graphic😀!! Link: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Check out my #GIDW2020 poster! P55: It’s Better with Salt: Aqueous Ring-Opening Metathesis Polymerization at Neutral pH🧂🧪 For optimal viewing and audio commentary 👉 rb.gy/qgtlob Thanks to Chemical Institute of Canada DaltonTransactions CSC Inorganic Division @degruyter_phys for organizing!

165 participants, 20 countries, 7600+ likes, 1000s of RTs, a social reach of 18,000+ people, trended 4th in Canada! 😎 Here are our #gidw2020 winners! Thanks to CSC Inorganic Division DaltonTransactions @degruyter_phys Chemical Institute of Canada and to the Wilkinson Trust for their support. cc./ Saurabh Chitnis

Super happy to be awarded the CSC Inorganic Division award for my #GIDW2020 poster. Thanks to Marcus Drover and Saurabh Chitnis for putting together such a successful international event!

Congratulations Marcus Grocott! Marcus completed his masters project in our group studying aqueous ROMP at neutral pH and has produced an award winning poster on his project 🎉

My first, (co)first-author paper has been accepted into J. Am. Chem. Soc.! Big thanks to everyone involved who made this possible, particularly Jeff Foster for his guidance and acquainting me with academic writing!

We gave you a sneak peek of the paper earlier but we are pleased to now share the final version of our paper: It is Better with Salt! Check it out now in J. Am. Chem. Soc. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

This week I am presenting this cool paper by the O'Reilly group and the Grayson group! The first authors being Jeff Foster and Marcus Grocott. Nice work! And I love the title. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

Across the pond for this National Chemistry Week #NationalChemistryWeek highlight! In a recent study in J. Am. Chem. Soc. by O'Reilly group at Chem Birmingham it was shown that adding chloride salts to aqueous ring-opening methathesis polymerization reactions can increase catalyst lifetime. bit.nyas.org/37t1nSn

Massive congrats to Marcus Grocott for winning the prize for the best presentation of the day at the second joint CDT conference yesterday - great job Marcus! 🎉 🔥 SynTech CDT University of Cambridge EPSRC CDT rEaCt - Imperial College London TECS and Bristol ChemSynth CDTs Integrated CATalysis (iCAT) CDT

The The Gaunt Group have several postdoc positions available in the areas of new catalytic reactions for small molecule synthesis, protein & nucleic acid functionalization, and accelerating synthesis with HTE. If you’re interested then apply at jobs.cam.ac.uk/job/36583/ pls RT

Excited to share my first first author paper, out now in #orglett. If you’re interested in asymmetric radical chemistry, amine synthesis or CATs please check it out. Thanks to Aaron (Trowbridge Group) and Matthew Gaunt 👩🏻🔬📄pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac… J Org Chem/Org Lett

Excited to share that our one-carbon alkene homologation reaction developed Marcus Grocott by has been published in @nature🎉 doi.org/10.1038/s41586… (1/3) 🧵
