I fear that if we keep up unabated excavation and incessant digging into the innards of the planet, these quakes will only increase. Perhaps time for nations to reboot and revisit their approach to mother earth whose bounties we all wish to exploit.

The distinction between recorded history and historic novels and movies is crucial. Many social media enthusiasts prefer the quick delights of cinema as opposed to trudging through dry but credible academic books.

An oath of office is not a mere ritual—it's a covenant to the nation. It transforms an elected candidate into a custodian of the law. From 1950 till today, the solemn oath signifies duty above self, governance above politics, to treat every citizen alike without fear or favour.

Ironical that those who often approached the courts for justice (and successfully) and others who were part of the justice administration, choose to criticise that institution, forgetting their past. Analytical Criticism is welcome, but beyond that its unfair unjust disparagment.

The eternal truth

Grateful thanks to our Armed Forces, and leaders who came together as one, in the national cause. And thanks to those who braved the onslaught of the past few days. Prayers for those whom we tragically lost and to those who have suffered injuries and loss of property.

Sitting in a flight for over an hour post the rains at Delhi Airport. Waiting to take off. Reason for delay - pilot has not reached still. The first delay in the flight worked well to reach and board in time. But to what purpose when the pilot is AWOL??
