Fire crews make a great stop overnight on the #CopperFire near Copper Hill Drive near Santa Clarita. Work continues to extinguish hotspots and strengthen containment lines through today.

Angeles staff & volunteers have been hard at work clearing obstacles on the trails to ensure they are safe and passable. Forest trails have sustained significant damage. It could take up to 3-5+ years for plants, including shrubs, to grow back after the Bobcat Fire. #ChantryFlats

#BridgeFire Fire Size: 51,167 acres Percent Contained: 0% Overnight, the Bridge Fire displayed moderate fire behavior under favorable conditions due to decreased winds and elevated humidity levels.

Challenge Cost Share Agreements unite the USFS with public, private, & nonprofit partners. One great example is the partnership between the MWBA. They’ve worked to restore and maintain the Gabrielino & Silver Moccasin Nat'l Rec Trails, damaged by the 2009 Station Fire.
