Wildlife hero of the week: Mark Blake Somerset Wildlife Trust cares for glorious Avalon Marshes fine-tuning the water levels so that beautiful snipe delight those who wait (one below, really!) and eels can travel up weird looking brushes and move across Somerset Levels... stunning work!

On my way through #Somerset, I stopped to photograph Burrow Mump, overlooking Southlake Moor on the Somerset Levels. The fields are deliberately flooded in the winter months to attract birds, before returning to pasture in the summer. National Trust
