White stork over storwood but drifting high and south west. York Birding

Half my life spent patch working Wheldrake ings. As this white stork drifted over the refuge today before continuing South West it became my 200th bird for my patch.

An influx of Grasshopper warbler into the LDV over the last week. This one showing relatively well this morning compared to most of the ones we get here.

Top night in York this evening with York legends Shed 7 celebrating 30 years. One of the most sing along gigs I have been to. A joyous celebration. Also a bonus Little Egret during the Pete Doherty set Elvington Birder Chris Wright

Settled in at the bedroom window to watch the Gulls following a plow. This Peregrine has just put a stop to that.

Flock of around 35 Black tailed Godwits dropped into Bank Island this morning.

A Greenshank at Bank Island this morning. Two green sandpipers left, probably headed to the pool at Wheldrake ings.

Second call on this recording is a Whimbrel over Elvington this morning. . The first call I think is a good for kingfisher, which is the first time I've picked one up on #nocmig.

Water levels are diminishing LDV NNR Bank Island but still a chance of waders dropping in. A greenshank, green sandpiper and snipe err on Tom's ponds this morning. Also little egret and a grey heron wearing an unreadable Darvic.

Red D3 Marsh Harrier back LDV NNR Bank Island last night and this morning. A bit more water on the reserve attracting in wigeon and other returning wildfowl. A few redwings over Elvington last night, outnumbered by song thrush though . ldvnnr.blogspot.com/2020/11/011120…
