Paramedics in Australia work an average of 45hrs per week. Of all the registered health professions, this is the highest. I'm not sure this is healthy for individuals, patients or the profession. hwd.health.gov.au/resources/data…

Significantly improves our ability to interface with the department of hlth and align our efforts with the broader health sector. Also allows us to work with the EMS Pvt sector more effectively.

Today was my last day as senior lecturer at ACU. It was quite poetic that the first person to knock on my door this morning was a new lecturer. They also happen to be from the cohort I gave my first lecture to, many years ago.
