Never ever forget what the ioc sanctioned to happen last year in Paris. They 100% knowingly put two males in boxing rings against female athletes with absolutely no consideration for the safety of those females. They were criminally negligent in my eyes especially Thomas Bach

My upcoming report on “The different manifestations of violence against women and girls in the context of #surrogacy” (A/80/158) and which I will present to the #UNGA in October 2025 is now available in the six UN languages on this link: docs.un.org/A/80/158

This is great and from the heart. All the literary world nonsense may strike some as far less important than other things. Well, perhaps. But if you're directly affected it's a brutal reminder that some women's voices don't matter. And yours? Well, who were you kidding. xx

The National Library wrote in its email trail about the book that there is a ‘group’ behind it. There isn’t, but there is a dynamic army of women fed up with being told their voices are irrelevant, their views out of date and that material reality is irrelevant. 💜

Susan Dalgety Our staunchest opponents don't even know what they're fighting against because they a) don't read what we write, b) are determined just to silence, and c) are VERY ANNOYING. And not very intelligent. The lit world is a gaslighting arena of f**king nonsense and I hope you're ok.

Every woman in Polmont prison should contact a solicitor & start a claim for Scottish Ministers failing to prevent s26 EA harassment related to sex (violating dignity, creating intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment). Angela Constance knows the risk.

In law reform, always beware simplistic slogans and easy solutions. They will cause consequences but generally not only the ones intended. Every possible consequence needs be stress tested; and glib assurances about not adversely impacting you are red flags

Average compensation in the slopping-out cases was £2,500. Even if only half current women prisoners sue (never mind former inmates) that's a £375k + legal costs bill to Scottish Government. You'd think that would concentrate minds and bring an end to this unlawful practice.

Why are women's words being censored National Library of Scotland? My words are about my learning disabled daughter's right to dignity. Can you really believe my disabled daughter's right to same-sex care is bigotry because it excludes men? Do you hear, see, know how that sounds!

“ But while we’ve been laser-focused on one half of the population, we’ve overlooked a quieter, equally devastating crisis: the toll big tech is taking on our boys and men. It’s a crisis that grows in silence, hidden behind closed doors and locked phones, where young men grapple

Oh grow up, National Library of Scotland. Stop playing at the petulant adolescence. You're supposed to be a revered and distinguished institution with authority. Not petty-minded scaredy-cats who close down anyone who criticises you. Readers should weep, that it's come to this

Susan Dalgety (@dalgetysusan) 's Twitter Profile Photo

So it seems National Library of Scotland which asks visitors to its Dear Library exhibition to leave messages only wants ‘approved’ messages, those from women are removed at the end of each day. Robust debate. Freedom of speech. Public discourse. Not in the National Library of Scotland 🤦🏼‍♀️

Finished my Scotsman piece ahead of time, so I think it is now, as my late Gran would say to my late Papa: 'It's gin o'clock, Archie!'

What an insufferable twit. Who gave this pompous, condescending bloke in a frock an award? What was it for? Is Mansplaining comedy now? Because there are pub bores who are funnier/

Susan Smith, from Women Scotland, added: “Of all people, they should know that taxpayers will not be impressed if they have to foot the inevitable tribunal costs. All government bodies now need to rip up unlawful policies and start again.” telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/08/2…
