Democrats in Los Angeles need to get serious with their mayor and their city council. Most of them ultimately are against the city being successful. A city preserved in amber is a fossil where the young, poor and middle class are forced to leave

Liberal cities are pushing people away with restrictive housing policies as if this won’t impact their state’s electoral power. If enough people leave, that means fewer congressional seats and potentially fewer electoral votes.

🚨 US company Ubiquiti is a serial sanctions violator, supplying terror regimes across the world with connectivity. In 2014, Ubiquiti was fined for selling its equipment to Iran. Now, Ubiquiti is complicit in Russian war crimes against Ukrainians. 💰

French Laundry chef: “No one asked ME whether they could build apartments near by.” NIMBYs are a case of the banality of evil. If you don’t think these people are the main barrier to Americans living better lives, you don’t understand our current situation.

The tent is big, it’s just not big enough to include “America deserved 9/11” and “Jews are inbred”. And it never will be

American leftists sole goal at this point is trying to undercut everything liberals do while conceding the entire field to the right and not opposing them in any way, shape or form. Just totally bankrupt ideological orientation that has become Mark Fishers deepest nightmare.

Anyone who was around and is not operating in bad faith could tell you that passing the ACA was the legislative equivalent of landing a man on the freakin' moon. Seeing Leftists, 20 years later scoff like "you couldn't even try for Jupiter?" is why we hate them.

The same thing is happening here in LA. LAUSD enrollment has been cut nearly in half in the last 20 years. When young people can't afford housing, they certainly can't afford to have kids either. The only solution is to make LA affordable by building more a lot more housing.

My working theory is that attitudes like this, and a lot of hyper-wokeism in general, comprise people who don’t have much going for them and are desperate to find some way—any way—they can feel superior to others

LA City Council just voted to delay implementing SB79 (more homes near transit), and chose a plan that allows for the least new housing possible - buildings only up to 4 stories. Some of the more progressive members on the council pushed for a compromise that STILL delays SB79

There is no surprise here given the policies that the city council and Mayor Bass have voted against or worked to delay give the clear message to residents that they do not want people to live in Los Angeles. They are actively making it harder to build and live here.

Normie Democrats are seeking politics that translates into a functional society — economic prosperity, good standard of living for all people, personal freedoms, etc. “Leftists” are seeking destruction of society, chaotic violence they can thrill to, authoritarianism,

Mayor Bass and her NIMBY council has got to go they’re destroying the city by literally refusing to build more housing just gross incompetence
