Workforce shortages mean that reporting requirements are becoming unsustainable. This has severe consequences for the individual’s wellbeing, diminishes productivity and threatens to worsen these shortages.

Nearly all radiology departments were unable to meet reporting requirements within their contracted hours. Not only are patients paying the price for the shortfall in professionals, but NHS spend is soaring to plug the gap.
