25 years ago, I was hired by the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) to serve as a resident program coordinator for the Imperial Courts Public Housing community. Today, I return to this community as newly appointed President & CEO of HACLA.

The Housing Authority of Los Angeles deploys staff to assist residents affected by the devastating fires.

The LA fires have deeply impacted our city, & UCLA is making sure we connect with our community. 💙💛 We have donated use of our UCLA Research Park for FEMA & the cityoflosangeles, and they have opened a Disaster Recovery Center, offering critical assistance to those affected.

Residents, community & faith leaders, public safety partners and elected officials gathered at Nickerson Gardens Public Housing Community to honor those who lost their lives by the Eaton & Palisades fires, incl. Mr. Rodney Nickerson — the grandson of the Gardens’ namesake.
