Its close to a year since we left #Gaza. If i describe the pain that lives and grows inside my body i would say its the pain that keeps me connected to my beloved hometown, and my just cause. no matter how hard it is to be Palestinian we will always thrive for freedom.

“This is a story of avoidable injustice. The rich cause the problem, the poor pay the highest price. Oxfam International finds the richest billionaires emit more carbon in an hour and a half than the average person does in a lifetime,” said United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres at #COP29.

If it can be proved that it's not genocide that would be a huge relief. It would mean that it's only a huge massacre, mass killing and widespread slaughter In which case it would be OK.

Dreamed I met Paul McCartney last night and he asked me what I thought of Ajay Banga at the world bank. I was busy with a long answer about debt crisis and he kept singing “Juniors Farm”. I think somewhere in this is an important lesson in campaign comms.

We cannot afford to have a single unelected billionaire shut down federal agencies that do vital work to save lives and build a better world. Oxfam is taking action and holding members of Congress accountable to protect USAID and its lifesaving work. Scott Paul

The brilliant Anna Marriott on the scandal of aid money (including British aid) being used to support profiteering private hospitals which leaves patients untreated, imprisoned and indebted. This must end! youtube.com/watch?app=desk…

Breaking: Oxfam America is joining the lawsuit to block the Trump admin's assault on humanitarian aid. The attack on foreign assistance and USAID is an illegal & unconstitutional action that exacerbates humanitarian crises & will have life or death consequences for millions.

Israel’s decision to halt aid into Gaza is alarming. International humanitarian law is clear: We must be allowed access to deliver vital lifesaving aid.  We can’t roll back the progress of the past 42 days. We need to get aid in and the hostages out.  The ceasefire must hold.

That final para ... A Labour Chancellor: I'd rather send poor people deeper into poverty, then tax those who wouldn't even notice it.

We're in London today with a big old bus to tell our Govt this country cannot afford cuts. Instead they should tax us, the super rich. A 2% wealth tax alone could raise up to £460mln a week. @Keir_starmer - invest in a fairer economy. Patriotic Millionaires say Tax Our Wealth

We’ve been travelling across the UK with a very simple message ahead of Rachel Reeves #SpringStatement: Our country misses out on £460 million a week without a wealth tax. No cuts. Tax our wealth.

It is a political choice to plunge 50,000 more children into poverty by the end of this parliament, as a result of the health and disability benefit cuts. This news will be devastating for families across the country struggling to make ends meet. 1/3

Some thoughts on Trump’s tariff speech. 1/ The framing around Democrat failure and capitulation to neoliberalism in the 90s is clever and true. To all those neoliberal Democrats (and Blairites) who told us there was no alternative - this is on you.

People across Gaza are now starving to death. Our message to Keir Starmer and the UK government is: Enabling Gaza's erasure is a red line. You must ACT. Share our call. Make it louder #RedLineForGaza
