Today, IFRC HoD Azmat Ulla met Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ms Sewa Lamsal and had discussed about the works of #IFRC, its membership and #NRCS. Secretary Lamsal appreciated the works done by IFRC in #Nepal.

Today is earthquake safety day in Nepal. Earthquakes remain a major threat to lives and livelihoods around the country. In the Red Cross, we will continue to prepare at the community level, respond fast, and support recovery.

We had a courtesy call with the Ambassador of Germany to Nepal, his Excellency Dr. Thomas Prinz today. HoD David Fisher shared the works and initiatives of #IFRC and its members in country through #NRCS. We have discussed on the possible collaboration and partnership in future.

I visited the IFRC headquarters and discussed the Red Cross' global humanitarian work and the potential collaboration in the health sector in Nepal. Seeing the contribution of a Nepali citizen who has reached the top level in international humanitarian work was heartening.

Great to see and lets do something good for Nepal.

Indeed great efforts of IFRC and NRCS reaching to the vulnerable community people for their access to clean water. This is an example of community engagement and their ownership which will help to sustain the programme.
