Polaris Web Components are finally here! πŸŽ‰ It's hard to express my feelings, as I've been hoping for this for a long time. I prefer building Shopify apps with Rails. And as many other devs, I've been struggling with Polaris being React only framework. Struggled so much, that

Great reading about ideas behind unified Polaris & web components. Love the accent on Shopify being "the web platform". It's a solid bet long-term, that will survive the rise and fall of particular frameworks like React. shopify.com/partners/blog/…

Tried Devin for the first time today and have mixed feelings. It failed to complete two simplest possible tasks (remove db index and add new admin page). I tried the same prompt in Cursor and it completed it without mistakes. I don’t like the fact that Devin spins a whole new

Polaris Web Components have isolated styles. It's a very good news for apps migration. In this example I use new web component inside old Polaris ViewComponent page. No styles conflicts at all πŸ‘Œ

The new app review modal in Shopify is great! Set it up on weekend and already see first results 🀩 It really shifts my focus from support-driven reviews, to designing "aha" moments in apps, after which users are more likely to leave us a review in a modal.

Very exciting update! This will make Tailwind Plus so much more accessible. I really love this direction. First Polaris Web Components, now Tailwind Elements. More teams are embracing native web and custom elements.
