On 3rd June we found this oak leaf floating in a pool at Scotney Castle. The 'eggs' laid on the underside are in a linear pattern and have 'antennae' protruding through the top of the leaf. Can anyone help identify please? Ian Beavis

I've finally solved the mystery of the 'galls with antennae' on floating oak leaves. They're Water Stick-insect eggs! Water Stick-insect is an aquatic heteropteran bug.
